AMD Gaming PC Build Step 9: Input Devices

Some of the devices I have:
-L3vetron Mech5 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
-L3vetron Gaming Mouse
-X-Arcade Tankstick
-X-Box 360 Wireless Controller
-USB NES Gamepads

I'm slowly weening myself away from exclusively playing with controllers. I gamed on PCs many many years ago, but on consoles for many more years. Now that I'm back in the game, I need to get back into the mix. I find my fingers are not as nimble on a keyboard.

The Xbox controller took a little getting used to as I played with a Playstation controller for years. It now feels natural to me.

I also do a lot of retro gaming. Playing those with a keyboard doesn't feel natural, so I opted for a USB NES/Famicom-style controllers and an arcade stick for use with arcade games.

I do miss arcades. You don't see too many anywhere anymore. I almost want to get a CRT monitor just for them.

If it can game, I'm going to play it.

I usually just use the 360 controller for everything not suited to a PC (emulation, X3 games, etc.) because it's so well designed.

Is the XB1 controller significantly better than it?

I'm not sure. I only have the 360 controller. It feels great. The XB1 controller only recently got official drivers to be used with the PC. I don't see any significant advantages at the moment in needing to have one.

Apparently it's more comfortable. I was hoping to hear from somebody that had used both.

Not that the 360 controller is BAD.
