The Drevo Tyrfing 87-Key Mechanical Keyboard feels solid right out of the box. At this price point, I was expecting something smaller and cheaper. This keyboard is made with high grade ABS plastic. It has a good heft and feels like it is built to last. The LEDs are bright and illuminate white through each key.
This keyboard features Outemu Black switches. I like the feel and the clickiness and springiness of the Outemu Black switches. Black switches feature good tactile and audio feedback.
The long, braided cable gives that extra strength in case of keyboard movement. I like to use some keyboards on my coffee table where the PC is just that far away. The USB end is gold plated to keep it from oxidizing.
My favorite feature of this Tyrfing Mehanical Keyboard is the several different light effects. You can control the intensity of the light as well as the speed. The software is built into the keyboard so you don’t have to mess with installing computer software. A couple key combinations gets you to where you want to be.
This keyboard is ideal for gamers as well as non gamers who don’t necessarily need a number pad. It’s a good size to be easily packable in ones laptop bag or suitcase for travel. The price is right, the build feels great, and the lighting effects set it apart.
