AMD RedTeam+ Radeon Rig Build Teaser Trailer
Just a quick look at what's going into my next gaming rig build. I'm moving up from my FX-8350 / R9 290X to this.
The R9-295X has so many issues yet so powerful. You need a certain PCIE slot in order to run the thing and the power consumption will make you power bills expensive like having to pay 7 dollars.
What other issues? I am prepared to handle the larger power consumption. I bought a larger power supply, which one would expect would draw more powers the cpu will draw more power as well.
The other issue is you need two 8pin connectors.
How is that an issue? I've owned cards for years that have needed two 8-pin connectors. It is to be expected on higher end GPUs.
AMD sucks.
Can you back up your opinion with facts +Alexa Black? We all have the right to choose our own hardware. Just because my preference doesn't match yours doesn't mean that my choice sucks.
I choose what I want to play whatever games I want. Info get more bang for my buck with AMD hardware.
Why would a single card with 2 powerful GPUs in it "suck"? Be it NVidia or AMD, I would think it would be awesome.
As I've said before. In the end we are all gamers and all have different hardware. I'm in it for fun.
NVIDIA just released their 970/980s, you might want to wait for a price drop, AMD has to respond in some way.
AMD has already dropped prices on the 290. http://www.pcworld.com/article/2692562/amd-steeply-slashes-flagship-radeon-graphics-card-prices-after-nvidias-gtx-980-launch.html
I ended up getting my R9 295X2 when it was already on sale at $999.99 from $1529.99 and even got 20% off that price.
+Benedict Corpuz great stuffs, waiting for photos when you finished
I'll be doing pictures and video along the way
+Benedict Corpuz good deal, that card is the shit but 1500 hurts. Enjoy!
