Google Just Bought Word Lens

Word Lens utilizes your mobile phone's camera and translates text in real-time, even without an internet connection.

I've had this app on my phone for years with just the Spanish language pack. It translates both ways with each language pack.

I just downloaded French, Portuguese, Italian and German packs. I've been waiting a long time for Asian packs as well.

Good on Google for recognizing this valuable technology and adding it to their portfolio.
